ABOUT  URBAN REGENERATION

20世纪50年代以来，西方城市开发概念经历了5次变化，即城市重建、城市振兴、城市更新、城市再开发和城市再生，每一概念都包含丰富的时代内涵，并具有连续性。我国大规模的城市更新改造始于新中国成立以后，特别是改革开放40多年的开发建设取得了巨大成绩，2020年我国常住人口城镇化率63.89%，已经步入城镇化较快发展的中后期。

至2050年，预计全世界70％的人口将生活在城市地区。城市再生，是城市化深化的必然结果。

Since the 1950s, Western urban development concepts have evolved through five stages: urban reconstruction, revitalization, renewal, redevelopment, and regeneration. In China, extensive urban renewal started post its establishment, particularly during the 40+ years of reform and development. By 2020, China's urbanization rate reached 63.89%, signaling rapid urban growth.

By 2050, approximately 70% of the global population will reside in cities, making urban regeneration an inevitable consequence. UR focuses on sharing valuable global urban regeneration and redevelopment cases to educate and inspire the industry.
